John Esper has dedicated over 25 years to the maritime and water sports industry in the Turks and Caicos Islands, with a strong focus on empowering the local community. Since arriving in 1999 to North Caicos, he has made it a priority to create job opportunities for young Turks Islanders, ensuring that his businesses hire and train local talent.
As the founder of Caicos Island Charters and numerous other high-ranking, popular water sports companies, John has not only transformed the boating and tourism industry but also provided stable employment and career pathways for many islanders. His commitment to workforce development is reflected in the comprehensive training programs he has established, mentoring countless young Turks Islanders and equipping them with skills for long-term success in the maritime and tourism industries.
John’s dedication extends beyond business. He actively gives back to the community through initiatives such as school lunch programs for underprivileged children, youth mentorship, and a scholarship program that channels a portion of company revenue into educational and charitable causes.
At the heart of John’s work is a deep appreciation for the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands. He takes immense pride in fostering opportunities for the next generation while also cherishing his own family—his wife, Kim, of 41 years, their four sons, and ever growing family of seven grandchildren.
